John Carroll Weekend brought more than 1,400 guests together in London at the
end of April to learn, explore and celebrate with fellow alumni, family and
friends from around the world. It was, to date, the largest-ever gathering of
alumni outside the United States.
We walked to the top of St. Paul’s towering dome, toured some of the world’s
most opulent palaces and celebrated teatime at the Ritz. We saw the future of
Saudi Arabia’s solar energy plans and honored a beloved professor from years
past, Jan Karski (G’52, H’83). We explored Winston Churchill’s War Rooms,
sipped pints at London’s legendary pubs and honored the best of our community
at the grand Guildhall.
More than 480 alumni participated in John Carroll Weekend for the first time
this year, a reflection of our growing community in Europe. We hope to see even
more of you at John Carroll Weekend 2014 in Miami on February 20-23!
