John Carroll Weekend brought more than 1,600 guests together in Los Angeles in April to learn, explore and engage with fellow alumni, family and friends from around the globe.
We took walking tours of Downtown L.A., visited some of Hollywood’s most famous movie and TV studios and discovered the beautiful Virginia Robinson Gardens. There were discussions on the future of politics and national security, as well as the ever-changing worlds of entertainment and media. We explored wineries in Malibu, and rode our bikes along the coast of Santa Barbara and Venice Beach. We honored a legendary basketball Hall of Famer with the Timothy Healy, S.J. Award, mingled in the gardens of the Getty Museum and took in the stunning architecture of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, before concluding with a celebration of the best of our community at the Studios at Paramount.
This year 601 Georgetown alumni, family, staff and friends participated in John Carroll Weekend for the first time, a reflection of our growing community on the West Coast. We hope to see even more of you at John Carroll Weekend 2016 in Rome on April 14-17!
