Rosemary Kilkenny (L’87, Parent’06) is Georgetown University’s inaugural Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer. she serves as chair of the University Leadership Council for Academic Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Racial Justice Initiatives, and serves on a variety of committees and task forces at Georgetown such as the Benefits Advisory Committee, Human Resources Advisory Committee, GU Cares Committee, Georgetown Women’s Alliances to name a few internal committees. Examples of Kilkenny’s external national and community board service include but are not limited to the Board of Trustees for the Jesuit Refugee Services and the Academy of Hope, as well as the Editorial Board of the Negro Educational Review. She is one of eight co-founders of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE), and served on its Executive Board & Board of Directors for eight years. She ended her service on Georgetown Day School’s Board of Trustees following a nine-year appointment. She has also served on Sports for Education and Economic Development in Senegal (SEEDS), the Board of Directors of the American Association for Affirmative Action, now known as the American Association for Access, Equity & Diversity and the Howard Road Academy among others. Kilkenny has been honored by several Georgetown University organizations such as the Black Alumni Council, and the Women’s Center which tapped her the Carol Lancaster Award. She was also honored with the Georgetown University Law Center’s Paul Dean Alumni award for distinguished service. Most recently Kent State University recognized her with its Distinguished Alumni award.

Kilkenny received her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center as well as the bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Kent State University.
