Catherine Rusconi Sansbury (SLL’89, Parent’21, ’25) is a dedicated advocate and guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children, embodying the Jesuit ideal of being “men and women for others.” For more than 15 years, she has devoted her time to advancing the mission of nonprofits that support underserved children and expand access to education. 

Sansbury maintains a deep and enduring connection to Georgetown University. She has served three terms on the College Board of Advisors and two terms on the Board of Regents. Since 2009, she has been an active member of the Alumni Admissions Program (AAP) interviewing undergraduate applicants. In 2017, she co-chaired John Carroll Weekend in Austin. 

Together with her husband, Charles Sansbury (MSB’89), she has hosted events for university leaders and supported key initiatives including Mission & Ministry, the Lauinger Library Renovation, the Cawley Career Education Center, and the Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP) establishing an undergraduate scholarship. 

After earning her JD from the University of Connecticut in 1993, Sansbury began her legal career in New York as in-house counsel at The Chase Manhattan Bank Legal Department before becoming General Counsel for a financial services firm based in Austin, Texas. 

She and her husband divide their time between Texas and Florida, and are the proud parents of John Sansbury (MSB’21) and William Sansbury (CAS’25).
