El Yunque National Forest
El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the United States. Enjoy hiking through rainforest trails, discovering waterfalls, and taking in the scenic mountain views.

 

Condado Lagoon
A 3-minute walk from the Vanderbilt Hotel, the Condado Lagoon is a serene oasis perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding. A must-visit for nature lovers, it’s the perfect mix of adventure and convenience.

 

San Juan Bay
Located 5 minutes away from the Vanderbilt Hotel, San Juan Bay offers Hoya thrill-seekers a diverse range of water sports, like renting a jet ski to ride around San Juan Bay or renting a sailboat. For those who want to stay dry while enjoying the beautiful vistas of the bay, consider chartering a catamaran at sunset with a crew and drinks.

 

Bioluminescent Bay
Travel about an hour from San Juan to kayak through the glowing waters of Laguna Grande.

 

Playa El Escambrón
Located near Old San Juan, Playa El Escambrón is the perfect spot for family and friends to enjoy fun in the sun. Great for snorkeling or scuba diving too!

 

Playa La Ocho
Located near Old San Juan, Playa La Ocho is one of San Juan’s most popular surf spots, with beginner lessons available and great waves for the more experienced surfers.

 

Río Camuy Cave Park
For those looking to venture a little further, explore one of the world’s largest cave systems carved by an underground river.

 

Culebra and Vieques
Reachable by boat or small plane, Culebra and Vieques are two small island municipalities off the east coast of Puerto Rico, with world-renowned beaches and white sand.

Whether you’re chasing tarpon in the flats, spearfishing in crystal-clear lagoons, or trolling the deep sea for marlins, Puerto Rico’s fishing charters deliver unforgettable fishing for anglers of all levels. Golfing
Puerto Rico is a hot spot for golfers. There are plenty of options, from luxury properties on the north coast near historic San Juan to an array of courses around the island. Located 30 minutes from Condado, the highly-recommended TPC Dorado Beach is home to two world-class Caribbean golf courses. One of its courses was named #1 Golf Course in Puerto Rico by Golf Digest in 2016.

 

Piñones
About a 15-minute drive from Condado, the Piñones beachside sector has spectacular beaches, mangroves, surfing, and open-air food stands with local favorites.

ToroVerde
Located in the central mountain range of Puerto Rico and around a 55-minute drive from San Juan, ToroVerde is the largest adventure park in the Americas. You will not want to miss The Monster, the longest zipline of the Americas.

 

Carabalí Rainforest Adventure Park
Explore the lush foothills of El Yunque National Rainforest and the Atlantic Ocean coast through adventurous activities at Carabalí Rainforest Adventure Park.

 

Caribe Bliss
Travel about an hour from San Juan to explore nearby islands and white sand beaches while aboard the “Tourtuga.”
