Laurie Hodges Lapeyre (B’83, Parent’15,’17)
Since 2000, Laurie Hodges Lapeyre (B’83, Parent’15,’17) has been an active volunteer for educational, healthcare, and social service organizations in New York City and Washington, DC. She presently serves on the Board of Advisors of the McDonough School of Business. She is the former Chair of the Georgetown Board of Regents and now a Regent Emeritus. She served on the Georgetown Board of Directors for six years and also continues her family’s deep engagement with the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Lapeyre is presently vice chair of the Board of Trustees of Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, a worldwide leader in musculoskeletal orthopedic care. She is the former vice chair of Catholic Big Sisters & Big Brothers (now Bigs & Littles NYC), a mentoring agency for low-income NYC families and now serves on their Leadership Council. She served on the Advisory Board of Horizons at Saint David’s, an independent enrichment program designed to prevent academic slide by providing a rich academic and cultural summer experience for boys from low income, diverse NYC families. She was also board chair of Convent of the Sacred Heart, an independent Pre-K to Grade 12 girls’ school in Manhattan.
After receiving her MBA from New York University, she started her investment banking career at Goldman, Sachs and Co., focusing on the energy, telecom, and public utility sectors. She was then an executive search consultant leading Executive and Board of Director searches.
Lapeyre is married to Pierre Lapeyre, Jr. Their two children, Pierre Lapeyre, III (B’15) and Jacqueline Lapeyre (B’17), are proud Hoyas, as well as their son-in-law, Ian Caplan (C’17).
